Activities List
Magnolia House is located in the beautiful Ohio River valley. Driving tours to view
the beautiful landscape in the area is always a treat. You can enjoy driving along
the river and visiting some of the other river towns, and perhaps stopping for a
picnic along the river. If you are very lucky, you may see a real paddleboat and
hear the lazy clop-clop sounds as it makes its way down the river. In the evening,
enjoy the sparkling water and beautiful color that comes with a sunset among the
hills. To enjoy the higher elevations, drive along one of the many ridge roads and
enjoy the peace, serenity, and awesome beauty of the hills. Additional activities

- A hilltop picnic with a breathtaking view of the Ohio valley
- Take a covered bridge tour
- Watch cable or a movie in front of the wood-burning fireplace
- Relax on one of two porches
- Allow us to arrange a romantic candlelighted gourmet dinner served in our formal
dining room.

- Wheeling, WV, home of Oglebay Mansion and the Good Zoo
- Marietta, Ohio, historical and interesting, and take a riverboat cruise for dinner.
- Visit Thistledew Farm and Mountain Craft Shop, honey bee farm and American folk
toy shop
- Relax in Baristas, a coffee shop and pub. Sit outside in their garden and meet some
of the friendliest people in town.
- For a little shopping, visit one of several gift shops in town.
- For antiques, visit Christy's right in New Martinsville, or take a 20 minute drive
to the nearby charming town of Sisterville and visit their shops.
